Many gap year roles are simply scribing positions. At Dream Sleep Medicine, we prioritize Active Education. Matches are won in the classroom as much as the clinic.
Our program bridges the gap to professional school with a dedicated didactic curriculum that you won't find anywhere else.
- Clinical Role:Direct patient interaction, history taking, and therapy setup.
- Mentorship:One-on-one guidance from Dr. Vikas Jain, Adjunct Clinical Professor at Stanford University.
- The Curriculum:Biweekly sessions on Interview Prep (Med/PA School), "Real World" Medicine (Insurance/Prior Auths), and Weekly Educational Lunches with Dr. Jain.
- Research:Participate in clinical trials and data analysis.

We are proud to serve as an elective rotation site for medical and PA students from major institutions including UNTHSC, Texas Tech, Austin College, and Sam Houston State. Students gain exposure to home sleep testing, in-lab polysomnography, and the latest in hypoglossal nerve stimulation.
